HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was wondering if anyone out there knows where i can get financial assistance , help with bills. i am a displaced homemaker/housewife my husband decided he was no longer happy and left, we are seperated but not legally he is now living with his girlfriend workign his job, while i am struggling and worrying about how i am going to pay bills etc. i do have a gas bill that is due today and need to find a way to pay it before days end or gas gets shut off. he left me with no income or money, and he doesn't feel he did anything wrong. what makes matters worse is my daughter lives with me and she is expecting a baby in dec. so i have that and i am unable to help her, i have been all over trying to find a job some where, even on the internet, but they are mostly scams or cost money tht i dont' have to even try out to see ifthey work!!! my grandson lives with me, i do not have guardianship he is 16 and has always lived with me or my mother and now goes back and forth, he does not stay with his mom at all even though she has full custody and she doesn't mind, never had him living with her.
so what does a person do when they can not find a job because of a number of things, bad economy, out of the work force too long, and your older, too old for any one to hire you, cause there are younger people out there with recent work history and experience and out of a job, and you are too young for social security.

anyone knows who or how anyone or any place can help me out with bills and such, i would greatly appreciate it~~~ or even getting a grant, you know i dont feel you shoudl pay for that either, but they charge you alright. i dont know how you go about getting one, how you fill it out or anything they say there are gov. grants out there for anything and everything,

thanks to any one who can help out on this, it is a shame, we live in the land of milk and honey but the milk has gone sour and the honey dried up!!!!!
